Sandra serves as Vice President, Educational Initiatives at the Cultural Intelligence Center. She holds a BS from Michigan State University, a Masters from Western Michigan University, and earned her Doctorate at Regent University.

Sandra is excited to create a first-class cultural centre that will attract people from all walks from around the world. She is motivated by the potential impact the NIACentre will have on the Grand Rapids community, particularly for its African American citizens and looks forward to the Centre’s potential to uplift, encourage and inspire the African American community, especially the millennial generation.

Sandra and her husband, Robert Upton enjoy traveling and walks around the lake.
